Life Celebration for Mr. James will be held on February 8, 2020, 11am at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 728 NW 6th Avenue, Ocala, Florida. Pastor Eric Cummings will be conducting the words of comfort. Visitation will be at Sellers Funeral Home on Friday from 12pm to 6pm. Family and friends are asked to meet at the James' residence at 10:15am on Saturday to form the funeral cortege. No viewing following the eulogy.

Deacon Ralph James was born on April 23, 1934 to the late Henry and Eloise James. He was educated in Belle Glade. He enjoyed watching old Weastern movies, his yard, and music. Mr. James was employed at the U.S Sugar Company in Center Hill, Florida. He attended New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee, Deacon, apart of the male chorus and also the Usher board working very dutiful and faithful until his health began to fail him.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories the love of his life, his loving wife of 40+ years, Sis. Loretta James; sons: Larry James, Ralph (Lisa) James, Jr., Stanley (Patty) James, Beauford Daniels, Jr., Alvins (Cathy) Daniels, Darrell Daniels, Wendall (Chalandra) Shaw; daughters: Gloria(Robert) Freeman, Wanda (Rocky) Wells, Nerissa (Alvin) Brown, Diane Lowman; siblings: Josephine (Johnny) Gaddy, Elvera James, Elosie Gaddy, Dorothy Alexander, Beatrice Harris, Walter (Deloris) James Sr., Alex (Marion) James; sister-in-laws: Betty Marash, Annie (Willie) Morgan, Mary Alice Williams; brother-in-laws: Willie (Roetta) P. Williams, Lavon (Phyliss) Vereen, Beauford (Teresa) Williams and a host of sorrowing grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
