Larry Lee Whitlow, 64, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg, Va.

Born February 19, 1943 in Kellysville, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Alice Whitt Whitlow. Larry was a veteran of the United States Marines and was of the Protestant faith. He served his country proudly and was a collector of Marine artifacts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Whitlow; one step granddaughter, Clarissa Ervi; four brothers, Harry, Houston, James and Dean Whitlow; and two sisters; Lois Proffitt and Betty Brumit.

His survivors include his wife, Patricia Whitlow of Peterstown; one daughter, Amy B. Dunn and husband Jackie of Peterstown; two step-daughters; Debbie Fleeman and husband Ronnie of Narrows, Va., and Pam Ervin and husband David of Morgantown; one step-son, Greg Frazier and wife Angie of Narrows, Va.; two brothers; Benny Whitlow of Princeton, and Jay Whitlow and wife Ellen of Kellysville; one sister, Clarice Boseman of North Carolina; one grandson, Gabe Dunn; six step grandchildren, Chad, Amber, Devon, Shaynah, John and Zach and five great-grandchildren, Courtland, Parker, Emma, Cade and Cole.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown. Burial will follow at the Peterstown Cemetery, Rich Creek, Va., with military rites by VFW Post No. 6000 and American Legion Post No. 68.
