Born in Red Lodge, Montana April 16, 1891, the son of James Milton McManus (1863-1912) and Carrie Eliza Turk (1873-1957), Elmer Milton McManus completed his earthly journey on August 31, 1964 in LaGrande, Oregon. On November 2, 1920 he and Gladys Black (1898-1928) were united in marriage in Union, Oregon. She was laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery. Then on March 4, 1931, Elmer married Artetta June Hoke (1910-2002).
