Danny Eugene Day was born on April 14, 1951, in Terrell, TX, to parents, Roland Fletcher Day and Irene Wren Day. He graduated from Wills Point High School, Class of 1969. Danny has lived in Mesquite for over forty years. He worked for thirty six years as a Vocational Agriculture Teacher and taught at DeSoto High School. Danny retired from teaching in 2012, later working with his nephew at Franklin Paving and Excavating. He was a member of Stonepoint Church in Wills Point.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Irene Day.

Danny is survived by his brother, Joe David Day and wife, Shirley of Quinlan, TX; sisters, Wilma Bullock and husband, John of Point, TX, and Shirley Franklin of Wills Point, TX; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
