Mrs. June Waters White, 80, of Chula passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Brian Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, August 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Chris Lamb, Steve Gibson, Felton Jackson, Darrel Webb, Zack Webb, David Hopper, Greg Gladin, Eddie Shaw, Paul Ogden and Stevie Flippo will serve as pallbearers. Former Employees of Tifton Aluminum will serve as Honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. White was born April 30, 1939 in Tift County. She was the daughter of Inez Waters. In addition to her Mother, she was preceded in death by her son Robert Henry “Hank” White and her sister Mary Shaw. Mrs. White was a member of First Baptist Church of Chula. She had lived in Tift County all of her life and was a 1957 graduate of Tifton High School where she was a cheerleader. Mrs. White was a former president of Tifton Jaycettes. She was a Court Clerk for Henry Bostick, a legal secretary for Reinhardt, Whitley and Simms and administrative assistant for Tifton Aluminum where she retired in 2002. June loved growing flowers, camping, shopping and traveling to the mountains. She loved her family especially spending time with her granddaughters.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, J. H. White of Chula; her daughter and son-in-law Beth and Robby Thacker of Tifton; her son and daughter-in-law Lance and Allison White of Chula; two granddaughters Niki Thacker of Tifton, Gracie White of Chula and Deana Floyd who was like a daughter to her.
