Donovan J. Harris

Age 75, a longtime resident of Northville passed away peacefully July 1, 2016. He was born on May 10, 1941 in Leicester, England; son of Roland and Nellie Harris. He was united in marriage to Rhea Jayne Brown; they spent many loving years together devoted to their family.

Donovan worked as a mail clerk at University of Michigan for 44 years. He was a talented photographer and enjoyed bike riding and swimming. Growing up in England, Donovan learned to play and love soccer. He was a soccer coach for many years teaching kids his passion for the sport. He had a special connection to his dogs because of the unconditional love they provided one another. Donovan was dedicated to his family; his wife, son, and grandsons were his world.

He is survived by his wife Jayne Harris; his son John (Dianna Banka) Harris; and his grandsons Brett Miller and William Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, 680 Plymouth Road, Plymouth.
