Claude English Foster, age 87, of Lithia Springs, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020. He was born in Clarkesville, GA, son of the late Isaac Newton “I.N.” Foster, Jr. and the late Lassie Mae English Foster. Claude was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway where he was a train car inspector. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Lithia Springs First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Smith, and his brother, Kenneth Foster.
Claude is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorena Foster, daughters: Cindy Cash, and Renee Morris and her husband, Tony, Foster sons: Billy West and his wife, Wana, and Said Haddad, grandchildren: Robby Cash, Samantha Cash, Justin Morris and wife, Ashley, Kylee Morris, great grandchildren: Ryan Beltz, Brody Morris, Memphis Morris, brothers: Jack Foster and his wife, Pat; brother-in-law: Major Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
The funeral service will take place in the Chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, with Reverend Mike Sinyard and Reverend Kevin McCoy officiating.
Interment will follow the service in Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lithia Springs First Baptist Church.
