Photo is of the Bible Isaac used in his Ministry. The pages included on memorial are the only pages in the Bible with names and dates. Sadly over the course of time, the Bible has sustained water damage.

Mary Etta Hatfield, wife of Isaac's son Fernandus submitted this Bible to an exhibit at the First Christian Church in Sac City, Iowa. Sadly the article is not dated. Out of 120 Bibles submitted, this Bible won first place. Mary Etta estimated the Bible to be more than 125 years old.

Isaac Jr. was born April 8, 1807 in Montgomery County, West Virginia to Isaac J. Sr. and Mary (French) Hatfield.

Isaac was a Minister of the Gospel of Christ. All of the dates of birth were taken from the Bible entries. There appears to be some errors.

On January 21, 1827 Isaac married Rachel Drake in Cabell, Virginia. Rachel was born 1805 in Grainger, Tennessee to James Drake and Nancy Adkins. She died 1849 and is buried at the Old Hatfield Cemetery in West Virginia. They had seven children:
1. Gloucester "Chester" Hatfield, born December 9, 1827 in Cabell, Virginia. Married Juliann on October 25, 1848. Died February 26, 1888 in Iowa. Buried in Des Moines, Polk, Iowa.
2. Caperton (Hugh Caperton) Hatfield born February 5, 1828 in Cabell, Virginia. Occupation: Shoemaker. Date of death unknown. (Caperton would have had to be born 1829).
3. Arminta Hatfield born February 11, 1830. On December 24, 1857 married Martin Van Benson in Knox, Illinois. Died 1913 in Illinois.
4. Overton (Robert Overton) Hatfield born July 25, 1832 in Cabell, Virginia. On August 25, 1856 married Emily J. On June 19, 1888 married Harriett. Died July 1, 1916. Buried at Old Providence Cemetery in New Bloomfield, Callaway, Missouri.
5. Joseph Hatfield born October 25, 1835. Died April 15, 1862 in Galesburg, Knox, Illinois.
6. Susan Hatfield born March 8, 1840 in Cabell, Virginia. Date of death unknown.
7. Dingus (Peter Dingus) Hatfield born April 8, 1842 in Cabell, Virginia. On September 15, 1863 married Louisa Elma Cox in Polk, Iowa. Dingus' second wife was Mary E. Reeves. Died June 20, 1916 in Los Angeles, California. Buried in Des Moines, Polk, Iowa.

On December 23, 1843 Isaac married Elizabeth Moore in Cabell, Virginia. The Bible belonging to Isaac Jr. shows Elizabeth died March 16, 1853 at the age of 27, one day after the birth of Oliver. They had five children:
1. Fernandus French Hatfield born December 23, 1844 in Huntington, Cabell, West Virginia. On January 23, 1884 married Mary Etta Elifrits in Madrid, Boone, Iowa. Died September 18, 1932 in Sac City, Sac, Iowa. Buried at Oakland Cemetery in Sac City, Sac, Iowa. Cause of death: softening of the brain from embolism.

There are two cemeteries with this same name in West Virginia located in different counties, unknown which cemetery he is buried at. Perline died June 12, 1930 and is buried at Paul Davis Cemetery in Huntington, Cabell, West Virginia.
4. David (Charles David) Hatfield born May 20, 1851. On October 27, 1875 married Ella S. Arthur in Boyd, Kentucky. Died circa 1887 in Iowa.
