Obituary of Melanie Ann Wilson
Melanie Ann Wilson, 51, of Roanoke passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at her home. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on January 21, 1969, the daughter of the late Carolyn Caldwell Webb. Melanie is survived by her father, John C. Wilson of Roanoke and brother, John C. Wilson II with Mary Wilson and nephew Joe of Roanoke, her aunt Nancy Caldwell of Roanoke, and best friend John Tanner.
Melanie was a lover of many things but most importantly animals, music, art, and Juvenile Diabetes research. Melanie loved animals and would do all she could to rescue cats in need. She was also an avid music fan of Duran Duran, The Police, U2 and Pink Floyd. Melanie regularly attended as many concerts as possible during her teen and early adult years.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 419 West Restaurant from 5:00pm-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to JDRF-Virginia at [email protected] or donations can be made to Simpson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.
