Alayne C. VAN DYCK
Age 63, of Seattle, died December 27, 1993 at home of cancer. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and a creative reading teacher who delighted in her young students. Among her many talents and interests were gardening, weaving, reading, playing the piano and the Arts. She was well travelled, having lived many years in Japan, and loved visiting her children all over the world. She will be truly missed by all who love her, and her beautiful spirit will live on in our memories forever. Left behind are her children; Kathryn, Judith, Wendy, Michael and Christopher; grandchildren Erika and Derek and brothers, William and Robert. A Memorial Service will be held at the University of Washington Center for Urban Horticulture, 3501 N.E. 41st St. on Friday, December 31 at 3 p.m. Remembrances may be made to Basic Education Tutors, The Valley School, Pacific Northwest Ballet School and Amnesty International.
