Billy Robbins of Orchard, Texas, passed away June 3, 2016 at the age of 79. He was born in Corpus Christi on July 4, 1936 to Cully and Nettie Robbins. He joined the US Navy after graduating El Campo High School, serving four years stationed in El Central, California and serving on the USS Yorktown. He later graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in education and phys. ed. He worked at Texas Instruments for 13 years and taught and coached at Brazos ISD for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy, whom he was married to for 41 years. Also, son, Todd Robbins and daughter, Amy Michaelsen and husband, Kenny; granddaughters , Kristi Kocian and husband, Robby, and Kara Michaelsen; great-granddaughters, Payton and Paige; brothers-in-law, Kenny Meador and wife, Phyllis, and Denny Meador and wife, Renae; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, James, Leroy and Bobby.

Memorial service Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 10:00 am from Knesek Funeral Home in Wallis, 122 N. First St., Wallis, Texas 77485.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
