Visitation will be held 11a.m. until 12:30p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Doak-Howell Funeral Home. Graveside Service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Steve Murphree officiating.
She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth Monce Mullen and is preceded in death by: husband, Charles Samuel Curl; daughters, Sherry Bowman, and Dorene Ray; sister, Goldie Constants; and brothers, Charlie, Earle, Paul, Orville, and Norman Mullen.
Ruth was mainly homemaker, she had worked as a CNA for the Bedford County Nursing Home for several years. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, embroidering, and caring for her many cats. She was a supporter of the Relay for Life, and the Cancer Society. She was Baptist in Faith.
She is survived by: daughters, Mary Kathy (Robert) Salvail of MI, and Annette (John) Mullen of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 10 nephews and nieces; and son-in-law, Lenox Bowman of MI.
