Ronald Dean Moses, 79, of Athens, died Saturday morning, February 1, 2020 at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a son of the late Loess A. and Roberta Moore Moses. He was also preceded in death by his best friend John Linn and brother-in-law Johnny Bob Underdown.

Ronald was a graduate of McMinn County High School and attended Tennessee Wesleyan University. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He owned and operated United Office Supply in downtown Athens for many years until his retirement, and served his country in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Moses Underdown of Athens; brother,Eddie (Judy) Moses of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted, 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 4th in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Don Underdown, Johnny Underdown, Michael Underdown, Steven Underdown, Spencer Sullivan, Tony Sullivan and Jordan Perleoni.

The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 396, Athens, TN 37371-0396.
