Neil Bryant Thompson, age 80, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Thompson was born on September 28, 1939 in Mt. Vernon, Georgia the son of the late Emmett Parker Thompson and the late Rachael Anderson Thompson.

Mr. Thompson was retired production supervisor in the mobile home industry, a veteran of the United States Army, member of Northside Baptist Church and attended Rocky Pond Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Emmett Thompson and a sister, Vera Mae Thompson Sapp (7-23-1933/10-26-1991)

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jowers Thompson of Douglas, GA; three sons, Steven Bryant Thompson (Becky) of Ambrose, GA, David Ricketson (Debra) of Ambrose, GA and Steven Steptoe of Douglas, GA; daughter, Beth Wright (Kevin) of Ambrose, GA; sister, Jeanette Kirkland of Douglas, GA; five grandchildren, Jonathan Wright of Ambrose, GA, Jordan Wright of Ambrose, GA, Reagan Walsh of Douglas, GA, Bo Steptoe of Douglas, GA and Ashley Ricketson of Douglas, GA; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held at a later date.

Memorialization is by cremation.
