A funeral Mass for Nicole Michelle Snyder, 16, a Gardnerville resident for the past 11 years, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Gall Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at St. Gall with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
Miss Snyder died July 12, 2004, in Douglas County. She was born Jan. 20, 1988, in Sylmar, Calif., to John W. and Patricia Lee Snyder.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Sylmar.
She had just completed her sophomore year at Douglas High School. She enjoyed her friends and life. She wrote poetry and enjoyed swimming. She was a member of Silver State Gymnastics and played softball in the Carson Valley Girls Softball Association for 10 years. She was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church and involved in the Spirit Youth Group. She was also a lector.
Among her survivors are her parents of Gardnerville; grandmother, Barbara Snyder of North Fort Meyers, Fla.; brother, Wesley Snyder of St. Louis, Mo.; aunt, Marianne Smith of Van Nuys, Calif., and aunt and uncle Michelle and Jim Janssen of Bangor, Pa.
Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park following the Mass.
