Steve, with his former wife and good friend, Kimberly Joyce (Kim) Dawson (Vandermeyden), became parents to their pride and joy, Brandon Alton Dawson in 1992. Above all else, Steve loved sharing his free time with Brandon, fishing and camping, watching movies, eating out and going to the movies.
Steve loved nature and was passionate about the outdoors. He felt blessed spending many years of his working hours trimming trees and painting houses. He enjoyed all the seasons and the challenge of staying warm in the winter and cool in the summer, but he especially loved blossoming flowers and wind blowing through the trees.
His family was always his biggest love and wanted the memory of him to make people smile and feel good. He wanted no-one to dwell on his passing.
Surviving is his son, Brandon; his father and step-mother, Steven Dennis and Barbara Dawson; mother and step-father, LaVonne and Eugene Cote; his sisters, Viki McGee and husband, Kevin; Cynthia Irsik and husband, Jeffrey; and Jeni Mason and husband, Mark; step-brother, David Cote and wife, Sherry; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his step-sister, Catherine Ann McGill.
