William Junius “Taylor” Vaughan, 93, of Bullock, NC died Friday, January 31, 2020. He was born in Granville County on April 30, 1926 to A.D. Vaughan and Eva Preston (Williamson) Vaughan.

Taylor is survived by his daughter, Kay Adcock (Kenneth); sons, Wallace T. Vaughan (Brenda), and Donald L. Vaughan (Anabel); grandchildren, Tina K. Adcock, Aaron Jones, Jonathan Wilkerson, Jennifer Wilkerson, Clovis Vaughan, Charles Vaughan and Jill Escobedo; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by dear friends and caregivers, Willa Jean Richards, and Dr. Olga Cotter; many loving nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends.

Taylor is predeceased by his wife, Jessie Elizabeth (Royster) Vaughan; and siblings, Margaret Barbour, Vera Evans, and Weldon Vaughan.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Grassy Creek Baptist Church, 9142 Grassy Creek Rd., Bullock. A time for viewing will begin at 1:00 pm, prior to the start of the service. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Following the burial, the family will receive guests for visitation in the church’s fellowship hall.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made in Taylor’s name to Grassy Creek Baptist Church, 9142 Grassy Creek Rd., Bullock, NC 27507.
