Cheryl Ann Norris, 64, of Charlotte, died Saturday, February 1, 2020, at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.

Cheryl was born in Dallas, Texas, on November 21, 1955, the daughter of Howard and Muriel Amos Norris. She graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She eventually moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she stayed until her daughter, Rachel, graduated from school. She returned for a time to Dallas to be closer to family and in 2015, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina.

Most recently, Cheryl was working as a Leadership Development Manager at Duke Energy Nuclear, but her people skills and business acumen gave her a varied background. She worked as an actress for a number of years, appearing alongside Chuck Norris in the pilot episode of Walker: Texas Ranger, amongst other roles. She was also a talented writer who ran her own training and leadership development company, Norris Training and Development. When not working, she enjoyed reading and sports, especially football and her home teams of the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears. Most of all, she loved spending time with friends and family.

Cheryl is survived by her mother, Muriel; her daughter, Rachel (fiancé Michael Hartung) Scaman of Chicago, Illinois; her sister, Nancy Paige of Plano, Texas; her brother Benjamin “Benny” (wife Mary) Norris of Gordonville, TX; and her favorite canine companion, Mazzy. Cheryl is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.
