Barbara Ann Hanson
September 27, 1953 – December 30, 2019
Barbara “Bobbie” A. Hanson, 66, of Bettendorf, IA passed away on December 30, 2019 at her home.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2019 from 10:00 -12:00 at Weerts Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm with cremation to follow.
Memorials may be left to the family.
Bobbie was born on September 27, 1953 in California to John and Dorothy (Thompson) Fortner.
She was united in marriage to Leonard Hanson on June 10, 1972 in Bettendorf, IA. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2012.
Bobbie was employed by TM Logistics as a forklift operator for the last 17 years.
She enjoyed gambling, traveling around to different casinos playing the penny slots and video poker. She really looked forward to her annual trip to Las Vegas every year.
Her main joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Bobbie was a loving person and caretaker. She enjoyed and embraced the simple life.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Tamara Sherwood of Bettendorf, Sabrina Blossom of Davenport, Kristina (Eric) Ramm of Bettendorf and Kari Hanson of Bettendorf, grandchildren; Gage, Breanna, Courtney, McCoy, Keely, Laney, Jayden, Kiara, Wyatt, Nathan, Nikole, Parker and Liam; 2 great grandchildren, Adaline and Odin; sisters, Mary Souder, Leona Galati and Diana Ball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brother, John Fortner.
