Lora Estelle Thompson, age 85, of Baxter passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at NHC HealthCare in Cookeville, Tennessee.
She was born Thursday, January 17, 1935 in Livingston, Tennessee to the late Willie George Burroughs and Stella Stover Burroughs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ray Thompson and 2 brothers, Donald Burroughs and WG Burroughs.
She is survived by 4 children, Wayne Thompson of Baxter, Lora (Mike) Whittenberg of Pleasant Hill, Tennessee, Tammy Thompson of Baxter, and Lisa (Danny) McCoy of Gainesboro, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Deming of Livingston, Tennessee and Tyler McCoy of Gainesboro, Tennessee; 4 great grandchildren, Emma Deming, Kamden Deming, Paislee McCoy, and Adalee McCoy; brother, Thurman Burroughs of Knoxville, Tennessee; 2 sisters, Loudell Dilldine of Cookeville and Betty (Roy) Webb of Cookeville; 2 sisters in-law, Anna Ruth Burroughs of Cookeville and Kathy Burroughs of Gainesboro, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 at Presley Funeral Home with Mike Webb officiating. Interment followed in Thompson Cemetery in Baxter.
