Born in Conroe, Montgomery Co., TX, and died in Abilene, Taylor Co., TX. Husband of Rosea Anna McAfee.
Charles' occupation was a mason and building contractor. In 1910, his firm built St John's Methodist Church in Stamford, TX, the tallest structure between Dallas & El Paso. This huge building stands today. As a memorial he installed a large srained glass window with his daughter, Willie's picture. She had died of measles in 1904 at age 14.
