Professional Soccer Player. Scored 95 goals in 314 Bundesliga (German first division) games for Borussia Mönchengladbach and 1 FC Nürnberg from 1981 to 1995, and was Mönchengladbach's third highest career scorer. After his career, he was coach for a number of smaller teams in the Lower Rhine region in Germany from 1996 to 2012. He was best known for his performance in the German Cup semifinal of 1984 vs Werder Bremen. Coming on as a late substitute, he tied the match 4:4 in injury time and then won the match for Mönchengladbach in the 107th minute, making the score 5:4. He was selected once for Germany's Olympic team.
