Coleman, Joyce Ann (nee Zahner) passed away January 29, 2020 at the age of 90 at The Sarah Community in Bridgeton, MO.
Joyce was the proud mother of four sons “the Rau boys”. She is survived by Larry (Connie) Rau of Springfield, IL, Danny (Rachel) Rau of Hot Springs Village, AR, and Mike Rau of Creve Coeur, MO. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her son Gregory Rau Sr. and his wife Linda, her grandson Gregory Rau Jr., her husband of 25 years Edwin “Buck” Coleman, her brother Chuck Zahner, and her parents Lillian and Thomas Zahner.
Joyce lived in many parts of St. Louis City, but she raised her children in North St. Louis County. She would eventually reside in Warrenton, MO before moving to The Sarah Community. Wherever she lived-she remained a loyal St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.
Joyce will be remembered as a little woman with a big heart. Her sweet personality, warm smile and kindness will be missed by all she knew.
A graveside service in Jefferson Barracks Park is planned for a future date.
