He was a Charter Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1751, in Victoria, KS, and a life member of Fraas-Fain Post 1000 VFW in Independence, MO.
Mr. Weigel was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Catherine Weigel and a brother, Joseph A. Weigel.
He is survived by three brothers, Donald Weigel, Blue Springs, MO, Anthony P. Weigel, Overland Park, KS, and Robert L. Weigel, Great Bend, KS; six sisters, Velma Giebler, Hays, KS, Mary Jane Miller, Victoria, KS, Leona Kuhn, Great Bend, KS, Louise, Shirley and Doris Weigel, all of Victoria, KS.
