Nancy Carol Johnston, 65, of Ashland, died on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at her residence.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at Bishop Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Brent Davis. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnathan Horn, Tanner Horn, Brent Horn, Matt Johnston, Cody Johnston and Chris Johnston.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Roberts, Larry Don Roberts, Roger Howell, Jeff Clifton and Greg Clifton.
Carol was born on June 17, 1954, to Jimmie Lawrence and Nancy Loretta (Smart) Johnston in McAlester. She was raised in Ashland and attended grade school in Ashland and graduated from Kiowa High School in 1972. During high school she was a member of the Kiowa Cowboy High School Band.
She worked in production at McAlester Ammunition Plant for 20 years. Carol then worked for Double Kwik convenience store in Kiowa.
She enjoyed being with and singing with her family.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Lorretta Johnston; paternal grandparents, Willard and Ella Johnston; maternal grandparents, Jake and Ora Smart, and a great-nephew, Saxon Johnston.
She is survived by her daughter, Mandy Horn and husband, Brent; grandchildren, Johnathan Horn and wife, Briana, and Tanner Horn and fiancé, Faith Adams; great-grandchildren, Casen Horn and Marlee Horn, all of Ashland; brother, Chris Johnston and wife, Lisa, and their children; nephews, Matt Johnston and wife, Shelby, Luke Johnston; niece, Ryan Johnston; great-nephews, Ethan Johnston and Logan Johnston, and other family members and friends.
