Velma Joyce Bogle Garner, age 83, passed away January 29, 2020 at her home in Nashville. Joyce was born on July 28, 1936 in Sycamore, Cannon County to the late Joe Jasper Bogle and Mary Ethel Summar Bogle. She was of the Baptist faith. Joyce deeply loved her family, loved being a "Baseball Mom" or "Baseball Gee Gee" and loved talking about her son and grandson's sporting events.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Garner; seven brothers, Grady Bogle, Odas Bogle, Carmack Bogle, Andrew Bogle, Frank Bogle, L.B. Bogle, Paul Bogle and five sisters, Bernice Lillard, Allie Cooley, Alvadia Bogle, Lucy Shehane and Mary Dutton.

Survived by son, David (Cyndi) Garner; grandson, Gabe Garner; sister, Helen Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held 3:00PM Friday, January 31, 2020 with visitation one hour prior at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Jim Barker officiated. Interment followed in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Jacob Holmes, Steve Holmes, Rodney McNeil and John Boucher.
