Steven R. "Scotty" Scott, 69, of Findlay passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. He was born on June 20, 1950, in Findlay to the late Robert E. and Dorothy (Grey) Scott. He married Jan Willier on January 1, 1969 and they had 2 children: Eric (Ashley LaRoche) Scott, and Kelly (Desiree Brown) Scott. They later divorced and Jan preceded him in death. He later married the love of his life, Holly (Stanfield), on June 25, 1994 and he gained 2 more daughters: Jeanna Wolford and Ashley (Fred) Grimshaw. Scotty is survived by his loving wife, Holly; his sisters: Louise Magaw, Sharon Ferella, and Linda Scott-Kenny; 10 grandchildren: Zachary, Keightley, Alexander, Sabrina, Mackenize, Jacob, Steven, Lilyann, Ashlen, and Eli; and a great-granddaughter, Zendaiah. Scotty retired in 2016 from Cooper Tire & Rubber Company after 34 years. He was a proud member of the USW and the Moose Lodge #698. He worked 7 days a week for many years; his work ethic and pride in his work can not be overstated and was noted by all that worked with him. Scotty was an avid gun and knife collector, and loved hunting and fishing. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He could be found in the garage tinkering around and playing with Cali, his favorite feline. He loved doing sudoku and crossword puzzles, watching movies, and catching up on T.V. series with his wife. During nice weather, Scotty enjoyed hanging in the back yard, drinking a beer, and watching the birds. His favorite time of year was the 4th of July, where he would give friends and family a good show blowing shit up. Scotty was kind, generous, loving, strong, smart, and charismatic. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed whatever time he had with them. Visitation will be held from 12:00-4:00pm on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. A celebration of his life will be at 12:00pm on Sunday, February 2 at the Moose Lodge #698, Findlay. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad.
