Doug passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute in Columbus, Ohio
He was born in Newark, Ohio on June 9, 1947 to Richard E. and Emily Charlene (Bagant) Phillips.
Doug was a devoted farmer his entire life and was fond of John Deere and Oliver tractors. He also loved the neighborhood kids coming and helping at his farm.
He held a good Christian faith and had a wonderful sense of humor. In his earlier years, he was a member of F.F.A. and the 4-H program.
He is survived by his niece, Vicki L. Phillips; numerous close friends; sister-in-law, Donna E. Phillips; significant other, Judith Kay Randolph; two brothers, Jeffrey C. (Lori) Phillips and Craig V. Phillips; three nephews, Andrew Phillips, Seth Phillips and Heath Phillips; and two great nieces, Harper Phillips and Trinity Phillips.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bradley A. Phillips.
