Carol Garland, 69, a long time Rushville resident, passed away at her home in Rushville on Sept. 7, 2016. She was born March 27, 1947 in Tell City, IN. to William C. & Emma (Schertzer) Hinton. Carol was a 1965 graduate of Rushville High School. She married Gerald "Bud" Garland on December 20, 1967. Carol worked nearly 25 years in Rushville at Copeland Corporation. She was a long time member of the Faith Community Church of God in Manilla. She was an animal lover & also enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She is survived by her husband, Gerald "Bud" Garland of Rushville, sons, Jerry & wife Jeannine Garland of Shelbyville and Joseph Garland of Indianapolis, a daughter, Heather Garland of Indianapolis, a brother, Jerry & wife Lucille Hinton of Arlington, sisters, Catherine Duncan of Louisville, KY and Sandra Blandin of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Jared Garland, Michael Scruggs & Lexie Dice and great grandchildren, Grant & Cadence Richards. Carol wished to be cremated & have no public services. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Faith Community Church of God in Manilla. Moster Mortuary, Rushville, entrusted with arrangements.
