George Little Light, Jr., 31, of Lodge Grass, Montana passed away Saturday January 11, 2020 at his home in Lodge Grass.

His indian name is Baatawelissheisitche (likes to war dance) given to him by Clayton Mountain Pocket. George was born in Crow Agency, Montana to Jacinta L. Yellowmule and George A. Little Light, Sr. He was a member of Newly Made Lodge and a child of Piegan. George was raised by his parents Jacinta Yellowmule and Darrell D. King in Montana, Wyoming and Arizona. During the summer, weekends, and holiday breaks he was raised by his grandparents Gail (Morrison) and Tommy Red Wolf in Wyola, Montana.

He attended the St. Labre Catholic Indian School in Ashland, Montana from 2002-2007 where he graduated in 2007. He went to work at the Laurel Oil Refinery in the fall after graduating high school. Two years later he enrolled at MSU Billings of Billings, Montana. He later withdrew to take care of his dearest grandmother, Gail Red Wolf in her old age.

For over 11 years he started to pursue a Christian lifestyle and religious teachings. He studied Christian religion and some various Eastern religions, he was also learning the Hebrew language and learned some Sanskrit.

George used his knowledge to write down scriptures to encourage others around him to study and pray.

He is preceded in death by his mother Jacinta L. Yellowmule; grandparents Louis and Emma Yellowmule, Tommy and Gail Red Wolf; and grandfather Antone Little Light.

He is survived by his father George Little Light, Sr.; Dad, Darrell King; loving sisters Kateri (Brandon) Flatmouth, Delphine Yellowmule-King; loving nephew Brandon “Gunner” Flatmouth, Jr.; grandfather and grandmother, Oliver and Lucille Yarlott; aunts, Ginger (Peter) Ornelas, Marciel, Zita, and MaryJane Yellowmule; Uncles, Gary, JP, Mike (Joy), Levi (Cheryl), Dominic (Norma) Yellowmule, Manuel PrettyOnTop and Allie (Casper) Little Light; his closest relatives, Joe Howe, Charlie Little Light, Travis Cummins, Isaiah Red Wolf, Otis Yellowmule, Susie (Hubert) Black Wolf, Stella Howe, Grace (Richard) Crow, Conrad (Juanita) Yellowmule, Taylor Real Bird and uncle Garland Howe; Adopted dad, Allie Little Light; Adopted brothers, Micheal Jeskee, Danny Morales and Swayed Small; extended families, Hogan, Reed, Morrison, Yellowmule, Red Wolf, Real Bird, King, Yarlott, Little Light, Goes Ahead, Hugs and Iron families as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends. If we have forgotten anyone, please forgive us in our time of grief.

Funeral Mass is Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Lodge Grass, Montana.

Burial to follow at the Lodge Grass Cemetery. Rosary is Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 3:30 PM at the Bullis Funeral Chapel in Hardin, Montana.
