Diana “Dee” Lee Sharp, 77, of Foley, Alabama passed Saturday, December 21st, 2019. She was surrounded by family who shared love and memories in her final moments. Dee was born in 1942 in Wilmar, California. She graduated from Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, California in 1960. After graduation, she enlisted in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. After her military service Dee continued to work in her field at a private hospital. She had a brief career in dental assisting until attending college for decorating and design at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, VA. Dee had a talent and passion for decorating.
Dee was a Christian, an artist, a skilled seamstress, and avid reader. In her earlier years, she actively enjoyed bicycling, tennis, and archery.
She leaves as her legacy 3 children: Kevin Freeman (Donna), Kimberly Freeman, Joy Morton (David). She also leaves to cherish her memory 2 brothers: Larry Sharp, Don Sharp. Her 5 grandchildren: Cale Freeman, Miranda Stewart Williams, Kyrie Palmer, Audrey and Summer Morton. One great grandchild: Tyler Williams.
She was preceded in death by her sister Nanci Coombs.
As per her wishes, Dee’s cremains will be placed and honored at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort, in Baldwin County Alabama.
