BLOOMINGTON — Doris Carol Hale, 70, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, (Jan. 25, 2020), at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Contributions in memory of Doris may be made to the President's Fund for Special Needs at the Advocate Charitable Foundation.
Doris was born Dec. 2, 1949, in Harden County, Ky., to Emmert and Dorothy Dennis.
She was a graduate of Normal Community High School. She retired from her position as an office associate at the Public Works Department for the town of Normal in 2012. She cherished every moment with her granddaughter, loved spending time with her son and spoiling her dogs. Doris also loved traveling with her husband and attending Community Players shows with her family and friends.
She leaves her husband of 50 years, Ralph "Dan" Hale; son, Nathan Hale; granddaughter, Addyson Hale; two brothers, Darrell Dennis and Darwin Dennis and two sisters, Patricia Brining and Darlene Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Dana and Douglas Dennis.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center for their care and compassion.
