Bobby Joe Norton, 65, of Taylorsville, died on Wednesday, the 22nd day of January, 2020, at his residence. Born in Louisville, he was the son of Mary Elizabeth Hager Norton and the late Joseph Eugene Norton. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. A self-employed mechanic, he was also a farmer. During his lifetime, he was enjoyed boating, skiing, fishing, and hunting.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Elizabeth Norton of Taylorsville; his sister, Shirley Teresa Simpson and her husband, Mike, of Taylorsville; and his brothers, Joseph Norton and his wife, Jenny, and David Allen Norton and his wife, Virginia, all of Taylorsville, and Daniel Dewayne Norton and his wife, Brenda, of Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, the 31st day of January, 2020, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville, with the Reverend Louie Baker and the Reverend Bobby Rogers officiating. Interment will be in the Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville.
