George W. Harrison Sr., age 92, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday January 18, 2020. George was born September 9, 1927.
George believed and loved God, his family, his country, and work.
George is survived by his wife of 68 years, Thelma Guidry Harrison, children; Sr. Mary Ann of Jesus, O.C.D., Cecelia Pena (Jerry), Patrick J. Harrison, Christopher E. Harrison, Theresa Viguerie (Michael), Dennis J. Harrison (Lisa), and Jane F. Harrison, grandchildren; Joseph W. Harrison, Vanessa F. Harrison, Sean P. Bennett, James A. Harrison, Duncan A. Bennett, Mary A. Konieczny, Clayton R. Harrison, Joseph G. Pena, Bridget Jannise, Elizabeth Motheral, Annie Cooper, Lee M. Harrison, Evgeniya Rzhanora. Also left to cherish his memory, are his 19 great grandchildren and cousins from coast to coast.
He is preceded in death by his sons; George, Jr., Michael G. (Valentina Rzhanova), Francis A. (Audrey Gouldman).
A visitation for George will be held Friday, January 24, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Texas 77023. A rosary service will follow Friday, at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Augustine Catholic Church, 5560 Laurel Creek Way, Houston, Texas 77017. A graveside service will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
