Henry Maron Wells III is the son of Henry Maron Wells II & Rebecca Warren. His family moved from DeKalb County Alabama to Ellis County Texas by 1910. In 1922, Henry III married Irma Moore, daughter of Joe Moore & Cora Smith. Henry & Irma had two sons, Lorran & Clifford. After 6 years of marriage, they divorced. By 1935, he lived in Waco where he and his brother Stanley got involved in the Communist Party. After some time they wanted out, but was threatened by some members of the party. They told he and his brother that if they ever left, "something bad" will happen to them. A short time later they were both arrested. Henry was convicted of horrible crimes and sentenced to life in prison. He served just over 19 years of a life sentence before dying of pneumonia after being ill for a week. Stanley's sentence was much shorter (10yrs).
Update of burial location - His body was donated for medical education. The Texas State Anatomical Board handled the removal of his body from Huntsville to the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston.
