Eaton, Shirley Ann, 66, of San Clemente CA, passed away on December 31, 2007. Shirley was born in Orange on January 23, 1941 and raised in Stanton. She was a lifetime resident of Orange County. Born Shirley Ann Rosa, she met her soul mate, Phil Eaton in 1961. They were married soon after and have lived happily ever since. She enjoyed a very active lifestyle including boating, camping, fishing, sailing, skiing, and extensive world traveling. Shirley was active in yachting circles and an active member of the Dana West Yacht Club in Dana Point and the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club in Newport Beach. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and mother-in-law, she was also soon to be a great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Eaton; her sons, Christopher and Jeffrey; her grandchildren, Haley, Matthias, and Alexander; her sisters, Helen Wood, Aurora Johnson, Adeline Viramontes, Virginia Jurado, Esther Avalos, and her brother, Victor Zuniga. Shirley was a very special person whose generosity, smiles and laughter will be missed. The world is a lesser place without her. Visitation will be Sunday, January 6th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lesneski Funeral Home, 640 S. El Camino Real, San Clemente, CA. Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 7th, 10 a.m., held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 105 N. La Esperanza, San Clemente, 92672. There will be no graveside services at this time. Donations to the American Cancer Society are preferred in lieu of flowers.
