Archie Stamy Blackburn
Hanford resident Archie Stamy Blackburn, 87, passed away Oct. 5.
Archie was born in Coalinga. He was retired from Beacon Oil as a service truck driver with 35 years of service. Archie was in the United States Navy and served as a Petty Officer First Class from 1931-1932. He was honorably discharged from the Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Joy Williams Blackburn of Hanford.
Archie married Elvira Santos and had three children, Barbara Reis of Foster City, Elois Kelley of Roy, Utah, and Darlyn Lee Antes of San Jose. He later divorced and married Gertrude Alice Harms Randall who is now deceased. He then became the father of four stepsons; Allen Randall of Lemoore, George Randall of Laton, Bob Randall of Hanford and also Harold Randall, who has since died. Together they had two children, Artie Hainline of Laton and Arta Ann Blackburn, who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by a sister, Goldie Loveland, two grandchildren, Verlyn Imes and Steven Hainline.
He is survived by grandchildren, Tim and Randy Randall, Shirley Rushin, Bob, David and Georgeallen Randall, Kim Oviedo, Debbie Davis, David Hainline, Loriann Thompson, Clarence Kelley, Leslie Scothern, Lanell Kay, Karen Hinckelson, George Anna Reis, Michael Grumbling, Gail Zink, Crystal Camara and Keith Antes; numerous great-grand-children and many, many friends.
Archie will be missed by many and was loved by all.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at People's Funeral chapel in Hanford. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hanford. Graveside services at the Hanford Cemetery will be conducted by the Hanford Elks Lodge No. 1259
