Mrs. Dora Kendall Williams was born to the late Mrs. Alice Traylor Kendall and the late Mr. S.T. Kendall on April 8, 1942 in Upson County, GA. She attended public school in the Upson County School System. At an early age, she joined the Logtown Bethel Church. When she reached adulthood, she met Mr. Forest Williams. On April 24, 1965, they were united in holy matrimony. She was the mother of four children. To help support her family, she was employed by Martha Mills Textiles. She loved her family and taught her sons to love each other and to love the Lord. Her husband and one son, Ronald Williams, preceded her in death. She helped raised grandchildren and great-grandchildren and gave them all her love. Dora loved Logtown Bethel Church. She enjoyed the preaching of the word of God and bible study. She was a past member of the Choir and served on the Mother’s Board Ministry as long as she was able. She was truly blessed when her oldest son went into the ministry and seeing her children working in the church. She witnessed the fruit of her labor and praised God for blessing them. During her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking, going to church, singing, attending bible study, planting flowers, gardening and taking care of her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was dedicated to her family. She will always be remembered by that special smile, that caring heart, the warn love that she gave to all. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sallie Mae Kendall; seven brothers, Dave Kendall, Lucious Kendall, Joe Albert Kendall, Milton Kendall, Ellison Kendall, Raymond Kendall, and James Dawson. On Wednesday, morning January 22, 2020, the Lord called her from labor to reward. Her spirit took flight and went home to rest. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Pastor David (Melisa) Kendall of Covington, GA, Tracy (Judy) Williams of Macon, GA and Kenneth (Joyce) Williams of Thomaston, GA; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Savannah Napier, Annie Ruth Pringle both of Thomaston, GA, Lena Murchison of Atlanta, GA and Mildred Jordan of Thomaston, GA; two brothers, Joe Nathan (Constance) Dawson, Sr. and Curtis Dawson both of Thomaston, GA; two sisters-in-law, Mattie Kendall of Dayton, OH and Vivian Holt of Thomaston, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
