Sharon graduated from Holton High School in 1955. After high school she attended Washburn University. Sharon was a homemaker and also worked as a Librarian at the Beck-Bookman Library for over 17 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Beck-Bookman Library Club and the Tourist Club.
Sharon married William D. Lane on September 6, 1958 in Holton. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by 4 sisters, Grace Stotts, Glenna Johnstone, Lorraine Oates and Mary Rosalie Brennan; 4 brothers, Harland Clements, Clinton Clements, Ward Clements and Gary Clements.
Survivors include 2 sons, William Jeffrey Lane (Penny) of Topeka, KS and Jon E. Lane of Topeka, KS; a sister, Phyllis Clements of Denver, CO; a brother, Dale Clements (Joy) of Holton and a granddaughter Erika Lane Yoder (Luke) of Ozawkie, KS.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church in Holton. Burial will follow at the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends Monday from 9:00 a.m. to service time. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church or the Beck-Bookman Library c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
