Sharon L. Lane, 83, of Holton, KS, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Atria Hearthstone Assisted Living in Topeka, KS. She was born December 13, 1936 in Havensville, KS, the daughter of Ralph Ivan and Florence (Nicholas) Clements.
Sharon graduated from Holton High School in 1955. After high school she attended Washburn University. Sharon was a homemaker and also worked as a Librarian at the Beck-Bookman Library for over 17 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Beck-Bookman Library Club and the Tourist Club.
Sharon married William D. Lane on September 6, 1958 in Holton. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by 4 sisters, Grace Stotts, Glenna Johnstone, Lorraine Oates and Mary Rosalie Brennan; 4 brothers, Harland Clements, Clinton Clements, Ward Clements and Gary Clements.
Survivors include 2 sons, William Jeffrey Lane (Penny) of Topeka, KS and Jon E. Lane of Topeka, KS; a sister, Phyllis Clements of Denver, CO; a brother, Dale Clements (Joy) of Holton and a granddaughter Erika Lane Yoder (Luke) of Ozawkie, KS.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church in Holton. Burial will follow at the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends Monday from 9:00 a.m. to service time. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church or the Beck-Bookman Library c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
