Mr. Frank Elmer Howell, Sr., age 67, passed away January 25, 2020 at his home. He was born November 21, 1952 to Johnny and Myrtle (Granger) Howell in Independence, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ann McLin and Judy Dunne; brothers, John (Bud) and Ernest Howell; grandson, Tanner Chase Howell. Frank leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Mary Howell and Frank Jr (Barbara) Howell; grandsons, Cameron and Zack Howell; sisters, Thelma Lambert, Callie Reid and Helen (Leroy) Jenkins; brother, David Earl (Vanessa) Howell along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends from all walks of life. Frank was a member of Steep Hollow Masonic Lodge #639, Steep Hollow Volunteer Fire Department and Steep Hollow Baptist Church. Frank was known for his unquestionable love of his family. They could always depend on him to be there for them. He will be remembered for his community involvement and colorful personality. He certainly never met a stranger. Frank was a man of unshakeable conviction, integrity and honor. We can only hope that the breaking of our hearts is testament enough to our gratitude and the love we feel for him. It was Frank’s wishes to have an overnight visitation that will be held at Steep Hollow Baptist Church beginning at 6 pm on Thursday, January 30 with funeral service to be Friday at 11 am. Interment will follow at Steep Hollow Baptist Church Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his grandson, Tanner. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Howell family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep them in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
