Mrs. Mary Louise Hall, 87, of Rogers passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020. She was born September 6, 1932 in England, Arkansas, the third daughter of Ola Mae Castleberry and Brian W. Speck. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Leroy Hall (1928-1968), and five sisters, Wilma, Thelma, Willa, Dorothy and Betty.

She was a PFC in the Women's Army Corp (WAC) during the Korean War. She was stationed at Fort Knox, Ky., where she met and fell in love with her future husband. They married at Kansas City, Mo., on his way to Korea. They settled on Long Island. She raised her five boys in Rogers after her husband's death in 1968.

She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Rogers and St. John of God Catholic Church in Central Islip, N.Y. Mary retired from Glad Manufacturing of Rogers where she worked in Human Resources. She was one of the first hires there in 1970.

She was a member of the University High School graduating class of 1949 in Fayetteville. She was a voracious reader; she loved going to craft fairs with her sisters and many nieces. She loved puttering around her house and yard and doting on her grandchildren, showering them each year with Christmas presents.

Mary is survived by her five boys James "Jim," and his wife Diane of Bella Vista, Michael "Mike" of Rogers, Thomas "Tom" and his wife Nancy of Arlington, Texas, Edward "Ed" of Rogers, and Steven "Steve" of Rogers; a brother, Brian Speck of West Fork, a sister, Wanda Heflin of Rogers, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday with services beginning at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Graveside services with full military honors 10 a.m. Monday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Memorials to Circle of Life. Online condolences to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
