He was born on February 10, 1969 in Caldwell County to Rondy James Cox and Jeanne Marie.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lawrence Alton and Lydia Virginia Mays Cox, and one beloved grandchild.
Stacy loved life, football, NASCAR, and Duke Basketball. He was an avid motorcycle and tattoo enthusiast. He will be greatly missed by so many.
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents include his wife, Carrie Haigler Cox of Granite Falls; two sons, Matthew Tyler Cox and wife Amber of Granite Falls, and Mark Aaron Cox and wife Courtney of Lenoir; one brother, Shaun Gregory Cox of Georgia; one sister, Teri Lynn Cox and significant other Ben of Lenoir; and two grandchildren, Parker Lee and Spencer Lane Cox.
Services celebrating the life of Stacy will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Refuge Missionary Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jerry Woodie.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
