Helen was born on February 2, 1929 to Earl and Flossie (Curtis) Allsup in Warren County, Iowa and grew up in Milo, Iowa.
On February 19, 1954 in Worth County, Missouri, Helen married Richard F. Cooper. To this union, they had six children.
Helen worked as a housekeeper for several years. She then worked at Cooper’s Variety Store in Earlham. Finally she and her husband worked at Hess Food Market until she retired.
Helen loved her family and loved having them all together. She loved to feed everyone! She also enjoyed her flowers, especially yellow roses. Helen found enjoyment watching and feeding the birds while rocking in her glider on the porch. Helen never wanted to be a burden on anyone and was always thinking of other people instead of herself.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 daughter, 1 sister, 3 brothers, and her parents.
Helen is survived by her 2 sons, 3 daughters, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 brother, 1 sister, and lots of nephews and nieces.
There are no services for Helen at this time. A private family burial will take place at a later date
