Actress, Author. She was a Belgian-born theater, film and television actress and dancer who arrived in the United States in 1949. She first appeared on Broadway in John Murray Anderson's 'Almanac,' before landing her first film role in 1950's 'Tomorrow Is Too Late.' She would go on to appear in several more films, among them 'Tarzan and the She-Devil' (1953), 'Gigi' (1958), 'Fearless Frank' (1967), 'Andy Warhol's Frankenstein' (1973), 'Wall Street' (1987) and 'Greystone Park' (2012). On television, she had roles on 'Producer's Showcase,' 'Sunday Showcase,' 'The Trials of O'Brien' and 'Batman.' She also penned three books, most notably 1983's 'Night Sanctuary,' which was the same year she was found guilty in New York of lying before a federal grand jury during an investigation that she had pocketed her dead mother's Social Security payments for nearly 20 years. She was ordered to get psychiatric help and perform 500 hours of community service as part of a suspended sentence.
