Joseph M. Paul (“Joe”) passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2020, at his home in Bedford, NY at the age of 22. Joe was raised in a loving family of eight, he was the fifth of six children and the third son of Andrew and Jessie (Nee Barr) Paul. Joe is survived by his siblings Meaghan, Andrew, William, Kathleen and Suzy, his grandmother Kathleen V. Paul and grandfather Dr. Gavin C. Barr Sr. Joe was a great athlete and excelled as a lacrosse player. Joe also enjoyed music, skateboarding, snowboarding, watching soccer and spending time with his wide network of friends and loved ones. Joe had a passion for his music, especially for creating electronic and hip-hop beats. He had an affinity for clothing and loved to look sharp. Joe was exceptionally charismatic and had a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and to bring joy to others. Joe was profoundly emotionally intelligent and had a remarkable capacity for love. Joe understood people on a deep level and that enabled him to cultivate meaningful connections with those around him. Joe will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30th and Friday, January 31st from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home at 288 Main St. Mt. Kisco, NY 10549. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 1st at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Mt. Kisco, NY. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
