Loc Tan Nguyen
AUGUST 5, 1956 – DECEMBER 31, 2019

Loc Tan Nguyen, age 63, passed peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at his home in Fountain Valley, California. He was born August 5, 1956 in Saigon, Vietnam to Nhut Tan Nguyen and Kiem Hong Nguyen. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1975 with his mother, grandmother, and siblings, Hong, Nga, Ngoc, Phuong, Bau, Chau, and Hieu. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Loc lived the life that he wanted completely on his own terms. He took care of everyone around him because that was his nature. You really couldn’t force him to do anything he didn’t want to do and yet he still did so much. He truly embodied being a father. He was incredibly loving, supportive, and honest while never asking or expecting anything in return. He loved spending time with his daughters, playing tennis, and perfecting his fish tank. He was also extremely handy and could fix anything. He loved to laugh and smile and did not take life too seriously, encouraging everyone to do the same. He will always be remembered as the best father, brother, and son.

He is survived by his mother, Kiem, his brothers, Nga, Ngoc, Bau, and Chau, his sisters, Hong and Phuong, and his 3 daughters, Alysa, Katie, and Samantha.
