Designer, Television Host, Writer and Socialite. She modeled for magazine covers, designed handbags, hosted two TV shows, and wrote society columns for several magazines. The daughter of journalist Charles C. Renshaw Jr., and Elizabeth Fly Vagliano, later the wife of Felix Rohatyn, who became the ambassador to France, Griscom briefly attended Barnard College where as a student, she began working as a model for the Ford Agency. From 1990 through 1993, she co-hosted an entertainment news program on HBO with Matt Lauer, and later, hosted a restaurant-review series on the Food Network from 1993 through 1998. As a businesswoman, she operated high-end retail stores in Manhattan and in Southampton, New York, and also worked as a spokeswoman[ and consultant for a cosmetic firm and designed purses. Griscom, who was married four times and the mother of a daughter, Lily, and was a member of the board of the New York City Ballet and of the Advisory Committee of Africa Foundation, died from complication related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
