Billy Harold McKenzie, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 in a local hospital.
He attended Booker T. Washington High School. He was employed by Dupont as a security guard. Billy was a member of First Baptist Church of Washington Hills.
He was preceded in death by his father, William McKenzie; mother, Doris Mack; granddaughter, Ashley McKenzie; and sister, Alfreda Henry.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Dorothy McKenzie; sons, Terry (Lynn) McKenzie of Chattanooga, Kevin McKenzie of Nashville, TN, and Eric (Celeste) McKenzie of Chattanooga; daughters, Angela (Vincent) Fields of Fayetteville, NC, Sherry Bonner of Macon, GA, and Erica McKenzie of Chattanooga; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth McKenzie; sisters, Belisser (Roderick) Weddington and Octavia McKenzie; aunts, Ruth Armour, Evelyn Lewis, and Mattie McKenzie, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Friday January 31,2020 at 12:30 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Ronnie Bullard as the eulogist.
Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
He will lie-in-state on Thursday January 30,2020 at 6-8 P.M. at Taylor Funeral Home.
