James Roy "Jimmie" Stovall, 74, of Amarillo, died Friday, January 5, 2018.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jimmie was born on April 11, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas to Viola and Harry Stovall. He graduated from Amarillo High School and received his B.S. degree. He had been a journeyman electrician for Southwestern Public Service. He loved Harley motorcycles and riding in the wind.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his partner and love of his life, Mary Sullivan Stovall.

He is survived by his daughter, Wendi Day and husband Frank of Amarillo; three sons, James Roy Stovall, Jr. and wife Karen of Vega; Mark Stovall and wife Christina of Houston; and Michael Stovall and wife Shanna of Liberal, Kansas; his brother, H. R. Stovall and wife Mary of Shamrock; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Justin, Kent, Cole, Tia, Olivia and Alan; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn and Grayson.

The family wishes to thank, Martha Stanfield, for being Jimmie's best friend for 57 years, Caprock Assisted Living, and his beloved nurse, Kathy "Puddin" Stewart for their loving care of Jimmie and suggests memorials to the Maverick Club Wrestling Team, 1923 S. Lincoln, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
