AVA E. KIRBY, 92, of Colorado Springs died Monday at a local nursing home. She had been a homemaker.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Pentecostal Church of Security, 3905 Bradley Road, Security, with the Rev. R.J. Garner officiating. Burial will be in Blytheville, Ark.
Mrs. Kirby was born Oct. 26, 1897, in Parsons, Tenn. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1948. Mrs. Kirby was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Security.
She was married Nov. 17, 1912, in Cedar Hill, Tenn., to James E. Kirby, who died in 1950.
Mrs. Kirby is survived by two sons, Denver of Bernie, Mo., and A. G. of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Beatrice Fullerton of Dexter, Mo.; two brothers, Orville Still of Vicksburg, Miss., and A. G. Still of Union City, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Kirby also was preceded in death by five children, five brothers and five sisters.
